Rosemary Jean (Anderson) Waters

Rosemary Jean (Anderson) Waters, 84, of Johnson Lake, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at Tri-County Hospital in Lexington.


Rosemary’s body was cremated.  A memorial service was held on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2008, at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington.  

Inurnment will be held at a later time in the Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege.

Surviving family members include: son Dick (Ginny) Waters and their children; Rich (Angie) Waters and Kristen Waters; son, Steve (Kathy) Waters and children; David Waters and his son, Sef Waters; son, Bill Waters and Virginia Saporta and children; Emily and Andy Brown and great-grandson, Brenden Peters and daughter Robin Waters and John McQueen and daughters; Mollie and Allie Edson and brother Jim (Thelma) Anderson.  

She was born Sept. 19, 1924, at Holdrege to Arthur and Lottie (Speidel) Anderson.  

After graduating from Holdrege High School in 1942, Rosemary worked at the Prisoner of War camp in Atlanta during WWII, and later attended Weslyan University in Lincoln.  

She was united in marriage to Dick Waters on Aug. 18, 1945, in Holdrege.  Her husband preceded her in death.  

Rosemary enjoyed activities with her family, her cats, her travels with friends in Arizona, and the pageantry of Nebraska football – especially the Cornhusker Marching Band.  

Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington was in charge of arrangements.
