Lois E. Huff
Lois E. Huff, 90, of Lexington, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, at Plum Creek Care Center in Lexington.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington with Pastor Michael Gruhn officiating.
Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington.
Visitation was Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008 at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
Survivors include one son, Mick (Bev) Weaver of Lexington; one stepson, Keith (Waunetta) Weaver of Holdrege; two stepdaughters, Shirley (Max) Eliker of Beaver Crossing, Terry Ann Novak of Lexington; daughter-in-law, Sandy Huff of Cairo; three brothers, Thurman (Jean) Williams of Eddyville, Marion (LaVonne) Williams of Winchester, Ore., John (Dorothy) Williams of Coquille, Ore.; three sisters, Audrey (Norman) Naef of Winchester, Ore., Doris White of California and Naomi (Jake) Hothem of Sumner; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Glen and Marge Golter of Brady; 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold; stepson, Dennis; stepdaughter, Carol; one grandchild, Kayla; five brothers, Bill, Robert, Si, Dwight and Stanford; and several great-grandchildren.
She was born March 1, 1918, at Amherst to Trever and Lindsay (Patterson) Williams.
Lois grew up in the Eddyville area and graduated from Eddyville High School with the class of 1937. She was united in marriage to Gerald Weaver and one son was blessed to this marriage, Mick.
After Gerald’s death, she married Harold Huff on March 2, 1963, at Lexington, which combined both families with Harold’s children; Carol, Shirley, Terry Ann and Dennis.
She spent 20 years working at Yoder’s Care Home and 35 years helping with the Huff Carpet Cleaning business. Lois enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking, and being with her family.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Lexington Volunteer Fire Department.
