Larry D. Crawford, Sr.

Larry Crawford, Sr., age 70 of Eustis, formerly of Lexington, died Dec. 22, 2008 at his home in Eustis.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009 at the First Presbyterian Church in Lexington with the Revs. Gary Panko and Caroline Vickery officiating.

Inurnment with military honors will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington.

Visitation was Friday at the Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad.

Survivors include his son, Larry Crawford, Jr. of Bertrand; two daughters, Susan High of Bertrand, Lori Brede of Odessa; step-mother, Emma Crawford of Arapahoe; four brothers, Dennis Crawford of Cozad, Jerry Crawford of Kansas, Marvin (Becky) Crawford and John (Julie) Crawford, all of Arapahoe; four sisters, Donna Zogg of Hastings, Carolyn (Terry) Cunningham of Columbus, Janice (Dean) Henricks of South Dakota, Marilin Crawford of Lincoln and eight grandchildren, Cahle, Jared and Megan Olsen, Jenesis, Mikah, Taylor and Jordyn Tacha and Savannah High.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Phyllis Davis.

He was born Jan. 30, 1938 at Lexington to Murel and Loretta (Rimpley) Crawford.  He attended Lexington High School.

Larry served in the Army National Guard and was called for active duty in 1956.  Following his discharge in 1958, he moved to Lexington. He was employed at Paulsen Inc. in Cozad for many years.  In the late 1990s, Larry made his home in Eustis.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and NU football.
